Feng Shui, which literally means wind and water, is a very ancient Chinese metaphysical tool of assessing the most suitable location for one’s home and living environment, as well as one’s business or working environment.  The aim is to capture the most beneficial energy or Qi (pronounced Chi) from the Source, so that it will create opportunities for good health, harmonious relationships, success in career or business ventures, etc.

Like most ancient cultures, the Chinese believe that the earth environment is a direct reflection of the celestial sphere, ‘as above, so below’.  They are aware that by understanding the interplay of natural elements of fire, earth, metal, water and wood in relation to the prevailing Qi of the living environment, they can tap into the benevolent Qi and avoid the less benevolent ones.

Underlying the ancient Feng Shui techniques is the Yin Yang principle of the intertwining opposites as well as the ever-changing aspect of nature’s elements and forces.  Everything in life is cyclical; nothing that is alive remains stagnant.  The classical Feng Shui texts were written in a vastly different context, so the techniques need to be modified to fit in with the energy of a contemporary society.

The modified techniques I use are based on San He (Three Harmonies) School and San Yuan (Three Principles) School, which embrace the methodologies of Advanced Xuan Kong (Flying Stars) and Advanced Ba Zhi (Eight Mansions) systems.

Genuine Feng Shui techniques aim only at getting the best out of your living environment.  When properly and responsibly applied, they can bring opportunities to realising your dreams.  They do not turn you into a millionaire overnight nor do they bring you an ideal partner instantly.  What happens is that you use your free will to make the best out of the opportunities that can be brought to you through these well-tested ancient Feng Shui techniques.
